My two weeks in Kuala Lumpur

The plane brought me from Bangkok to Kuala Lumpur. I met Bernadette six years ago during a student-exchange. At that time I was the photographer for this group who studied journalism. Living in a condo on the 25th floor Bernie (that’s how we called her) has a beautiful view of the twin towers. The condo is provided with gym and a swimming pool. Such a contrast with my previous host.

Bernie feels at home in her room, but she could also see herself living in the Netherlands. During the student exchange, she fell in love with our food (yes, seriously) and the mentality of the Dutch people. Especially the architecture in Amsterdam, which I can imagine. I never stayed this long at someone home, so we decided to go also on a trip in the weekend. A trip on my trip you can say.

After a long ride (the traffic is horrible in Malaysia) we arrived at the island Penang. It felt so good to be away from the city and feel the breeze of the sea. We hiked in 33 degrees at noon to a beach, but it was all worth it! This next weekend I’m going to visit a friend in Singapore and then off to my one year Australia! Check out the travelvlog here.
