When I started this project I had a dream to stay over in the most contrasting houses. Well, it worked out. Last week I left a jungle house in Bastimentos and ended up in a castle in Boquete. I couldn’t find a local to stay over, so I asked the taxi driver to drop me off at the first hostel he could find. Bumbadu Castle opened just last year.
Tom, the owner bought the castle after he wanted to start he new adventure in his life. He grew up in Canada, but Panama feels home now as well. He lives upstairs in the castle and the staff feels like his family.
