I don’t speak French at all and Alphons is learning English. Even when it was hard to communicate, we spent quite some time together. Alphons told me that he lives in the rural part of the city. So, I wanted to see how it is to live over there. Even he doesn’t belong any luxury, you can tell he is okay with his home.
Home is Africa is being surrounded by family and friends all the time. The decoration is not important. I didn’t see any house which is really designed. Only a big tv and sometimes a huge couch. No Ikea furniture, paintings or lovely pots and pans. Alphons will probably emigrate, like the rest of the family, to Canada. He has never seen snow in his life. I hope he will find his dream house in the future.
